Director of Clinical Engineering

TRC Talent Solutions has a direct hire opportunity for a Director of Clinical Engineering in Dalton, GA. This position is with a leader in the medical equipment industry.

The Director of Clinical Engineering is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of medical equipment and systems used in healthcare facilities. They will manage a team of clinical engineers and technicians to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the maintenance and repair of medical equipment
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
• Manage the budget for the clinical engineering department
• Oversee the installation and testing of new equipment
• Provide training to staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure that equipment is integrated into the overall healthcare system
• Stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements within the medical equipment space
• Manage and mentor a team of clinical engineers and technicians
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in clinical engineering
• Strong knowledge of medical equipment, biomedical technology and healthcare systems
• Team management experience and strong leadership skills
• Experience with strategic planning, budget management, and project execution
• Certification as a Clinical Engineer is a plus
