Truveta was born in the Pacific Northwest, but we have employees who live across the country. Our team enjoys the flexibility of a hybrid model and working from anywhere. In person attendance is required for two weeks during the year for Truveta Planning Weeks.

For overall team productivity, we optimize meeting hours in the pacific time zone. We avoid scheduling recurring meetings that start after 3pm PT, however, ad hoc meetings occur between 8am-6pm Pacific time.

This Opportunity

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Informaticist (CI) to join our growing team. A successful CI at Truveta will play a crucial role in creating value from the vast amount of healthcare data provided by Truveta's member health systems, ensuring that it is clean, complete, and easy to work with. Be prepared to leverage your clinical experience, knowledge of healthcare workflows, expertise in healthcare data standards, and ability to problem-solve difficult real world interoperability issues to make a meaningful impact for our customers, platform, and overall mission.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers to design logical data models.
  • Establish guidelines for term normalization, leveraging best practices in clinical informatics and standard coding systems like SNOMED, LOINC, and RxNorm.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams in core clinical informatics initiatives, including improvements in data quality and delivering the right data to meet customer research scenarios.

Required Skills

  • Medical Doctor degree (M.D.) or equivalent healthcare education and experience with hospital workflows in the United States.
  • Prior experience in clinical informatics, health information technology, or a similar field
  • Self-starter attitude with a willingness to take initiative and continuously drive improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the capacity to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with common data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
  • Familiarity in terminology systems such as SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD

  • The base pay for this position is $217,000 to $246,000. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional compensation such as incentive pay and stock options.
