General Summary: Provides strategic leadership in developing, overseeing, and implementing effective student-centered graduate recruitment, outreach, and admission processes for the college's graduate and post-baccalaureate programs. Reporting to the senior director of graduate enrollment, Meets college goals for graduate admission within the guidelines of applicable laws and college policies and procedures. Works with faculty, staff, prospective and current students, alumni, and external stakeholders to enroll an optimum number and desired mix of students in the college's graduate and post-baccalaureate programs.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops and oversees the implementation of all graduate recruitment and admission plans for the college's graduate and post-baccalaureate programs to achieve annual admission goals in each program.
  • Leads and supervises the Graduate Admission staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Provides leadership to the Graduate Enrollment team in the absence of the Senior Director.
  • Develops and implements admission policies, processes, and initiatives in collaboration with academic and administrative leaders to support the strategic growth of graduate programs.
  • Ensures that all graduate admissions processes are compliant with professional accreditation requirements by collaborating closely with faculty directors, and ensures compliance with college, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of admission strategies, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Analyzes trends in graduate admission nationwide and implements data-driven and mission-aligned changes and initiatives to ensure Agnes Scott remains a competitive choice for applicants.
  • Strategically leverages recruitment and admission data to achieve admission goals, identify opportunities for growth, and mitigate risks.
  • Fosters recruitment-driven partnerships with external stakeholders, including pipeline universities, colleges, and professional organizations, to enhance graduate recruitment and outcomes. Represents the college effectively to partners.
  • Directs the review process for timely application decisions, ensuring the first read is completed accurately and serving as the final reader of applications. Verifies each applicant meets college requirements and makes grant recommendations.
  • Manages the graduate recruitment budget in compliance with college, state, and federal guidelines.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in related occupational field of study. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in higher education admission, with 3-5 years of experience in graduate admission and/or health sciences admission. Experience using CRMs, with a preference for Slate experience, SMS, and common application systems, such as Liaison WebAdmit platforms (CASPA, PostbacCAS, etc).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Experience supervising, managing, developing, and motivating a diverse and talented admission staff.
  • Strong process and project management skills. Proven ability to develop these skills in graduate admission staff and delegate responsibility with appropriate levels of leadership input.
  • Knowledge of current trends and issues in the landscape of graduate admission and/or health sciences admission.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism consistent with accreditation standards, including the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive working and learning environment at a diverse institution.
  • Capacity to learn, integrate, support, and inform Agnes Scott College policies and procedures, admissions protocols, and enrollment management techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse students, faculty, and staff at the College and outside the organization.
  • Ability to analyze data in Excel, and to use data to inform and implement recruitment and admission strategies and tactics that meet specific graduate enrollment goals.
  • Irregular, weekend, and evening hours required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office with occasional travel.
