Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Direction and Change Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction, driving initiatives to advance the department's goals and manage organizational changes effectively.
- Innovative Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging new ideas and approaches to enhance department operations.
- Financial/Budgetary Management: Implement financial policies and procedures, monitor financial effectiveness, formulate and execute the departmental budget, safeguard department assets, and ensure compliance with university accounting rules and regulations.
- Revenue Cycle Management: Develop annual revenue estimates, manage the charge budget, monitor professional and facility fee revenue cycles, and ensure accurate coding, billing, and collections.
- Department Administration: Develop operating procedures, supervise administrative functions, oversee space allocation and renovation, manage personnel policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with university and federal regulations.
- Human Resources Administration: Ensure timely processing of appointments, support recruitment, manage credentials, and handle all human resources issues for faculty and staff.
- Research Administration: Manage grants and contracts, oversee clinical trials and drug studies, and support the development of research funding opportunities.
- Business Development and Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate with the business development team to monitor the healthcare environment, develop business plans, oversee public relations efforts, and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders.

- Advanced degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Significant experience in financial management, including budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and implementation, preferably in a healthcare or academic setting.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle management and healthcare compliance regulations.
- Experience in managing administrative operations, including human resources, space management, and IT security.
- Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage significant organizational change.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with donor solicitation and fundraising.
