Seeking an energetic tennis professional with demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, capable of overseeing and expanding a large junior tennis program. Minimum requirements include experience in college-level or professional circuit play, teaching/coaching experience, and USPTA or USPTR certification. The role necessitates deep knowledge of the tennis industry, USTA regulations, and tennis programming and instruction techniques.
Preferred qualifications include a university degree, at least 10 years of experience as an instructor or tennis administrator, and a background in competitive tennis (USTA and collegiate level). Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential for setting and achieving program goals.
Duties
Reporting to the Tennis Manager, the position entails overseeing the quality and growth of all FVPD junior tennis programs, providing instruction, and supervising operations. The primary focus will be on attracting, developing, and retaining young tennis players of varying skill levels. Responsibilities also include training and supervising the professional staff, on-court group instruction, and off-court administrative tasks as assigned. This role is an at-will position.
Expectations
This role will involve predominantly evening and weekend hours during the indoor season, with daytime and weekend hours during the outdoor season.
