Director of Nursing- Accepting RNs and LPNs

We are looking for an Experienced Residential Director of Nursing, who will be responsible for the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of resident services in the community.

Fulltime, Salaried position with flexible hours.

Job Description

Directly supervises all associates of the nursing department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Performs timely and accurate resident assessments utilizing assessment tool, and communicates changes to the Executive Director for billing purposes.
• Monitor infection control practices
• Manages labor hours so that all labor dollars are within the operating budget as tied to census and acuity. Utilizes staffing models to guide scheduling, daily/weekly reports to monitor labor use and overtime, and bi-weekly labor reports to review hours used.
• Perform a Level of Care (LOC) assessment prior to resident move-in day, 30 days after move-in, every 6 months, upon return from alternate setting, and upon change of condition and charted.
• All charting is performed timely and in accordance with state regulations
• Hires and trains personnel in accordance with Hiring techniques. Provides appropriate performance feedback throughout the year. Disciplines and terminates associates based on Human Resource guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School diploma or GED Required. A minimum of a one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; three to six months of related experience or training.
• license required.
• Sufficient education in order to perform daily tasks with an understanding of the duties involved with previous work experience in business development or other work experience in a related setting.
