Position Summary

The Director of Operations will manage the daily operations of Borland Groover’s multiple Gastroenterology medical office locations. This role entails ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services, optimizing operational processes, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in healthcare management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing multi-site operations. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience in a physician-led environment, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and senior leadership to optimize practice operations and enhance patient care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of Borland Groover’s Clinical offices, ensuring consistent and high-quality patient care across all locations.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational goals are met.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing extensively on clinical practice to ensure cohesive planning and communication.


Leadership and Staff Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage site managers and administrative staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and oversee the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.


Patient Experience:

  • Enhance the patient experience by ensuring high standards of service, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Implement patient feedback mechanisms to continually improve service delivery.


Strategic Planning and Growth:

  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and patient care delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for the growth and expansion of practice locations.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for practice expansion.


Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant standards.
  • Work in collaboration with the Director of Quality and Clinical Informatics to conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Oversee correction plans as necessary.


Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage budgets for each practice site, monitoring expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Analyze financial reports and identify areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with billing and coding regulations to maximize reimbursement.


Information and Technology Management:

  • Identify opportunities to use technology to enhance operations and patient experience and participate in technology assessment of related systems and applications.
  • Ensure adequate staff training in clinic systems and optimal use.
  • Ensure compliance with organization cybersecurity policies and procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare management, with at least 3 years in a multi-site operations role.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality assurance standards.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Ability to travel between practice locations as needed.
