Role Summary:

As Director of Operations, you'll be at the helm of our operational success, driving inventory management, logistics, and process efficiency. We need a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record in scaling manufacturing businesses. If you're passionate about retail, supply chain, finance, and transforming operations in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team!


Key Responsibilities:

Inventory and Logistics Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and optimize stock levels.
  • Oversee logistics from production to distribution, collaborating with Taiwan team for quality control.
  • Negotiate with shipping partners and suppliers for cost efficiency.

Process Improvement:

  • Streamline production and logistics processes to enhance efficiency and cost management.
  • Implement robust frameworks for quality control, compliance, and contract management.
  • Automate and enhance manual systems where possible.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and build teams across multiple locations (Taiwan, Canada, US).
  • Oversee HR functions including hiring, evaluations, and maintaining team morale.
  • Develop systems to manage personnel knowledge and processes.

Market and Sales Support:

  • Support sales teams and distributors to expand market reach.
  • Drive product launches and manage orders for major retailers.
  • Leverage innovative technology for market expansion.

Compliance and Cost Tracking:

  • Ensure products meet all regulatory requirements (FDA, international standards).
  • Monitor production and logistics costs for financial efficiency.
  • Implement processes for managing contracts, commitments, and investor relations.

Technology Implementation:

  • Implement ERP and CRM systems to streamline operations and improve data visibility.
  • Integrate and optimize tools like SPS Commerce, Shopify, and ShipBob.


Skills and Experience:

  • 10-15 years in operations or supply chain roles within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven ability to scale systems and processes in fast-growing environments.
  • Expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and building relationships with international manufacturing partners, especially in Asia.
  • Skilled in hiring, training, evaluating, and managing high-performing teams.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and other relevant systems.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and contract management experience.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance (FDA, international standards).
  • Adaptable and able to lead through ambiguity.
  • Proactive and able to execute strategic goals with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Background in branded products is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and manage international operations.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the CEO and collaborates closely with the CFO, production teams in Taiwan, and sales teams across North America.
