The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is looking for a Director of Sales who fully embodies our values, shares a passion for excellence, and infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. As Director of Sales, you will be accountable for shaping the client experience by providing exceptional service in support of our world-renowned hotel. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

About The Role

Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown seeks a Director of Sales that will work with the Director of Marketing to oversee the Sales and Conference Services team. The Director of Sales will also assume a Sales territory of their own.

What You Will Do

  • Secure bookings for your assigned territory to achieve your personal goal
  • Oversight of Group sales team and management of pipeline to ensure group targets are achieved
  • Oversight of the Travel Industry team to meet their goals and the published segment budget
  • Work with the DORM to establish rates and concessions to convert business
  • Review and approve contracts and addendums as part of the negotiation process
  • Host tradeshows and FS Client events at home hotel
  • Travel to tradeshows as required for your assigned territory
  • Travel with your sales managers to provide coaching and mentoring opportunities
  • Conduct coaching/mentoring One on Ones with team members
  • Oversee the daily operation of the Sales Managers and Coordinators to ensure a fluid sales operation
  • Forecast the Group segment and Catering contribution on a weekly basis
  • Provide back up support for DOM when they are absent
  • Conduct the annual reviews for the team

What You Bring

  • 2-3 Years in a leadership capacity
  • 3-5 years exceptional performance in a sales capacity
  • Knowledge of Travel Industry segments
  • Knowledge of all Group segments
  • Experience in domestic and international markets
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build teams, and a passion for sales

Schedule & Hours

  • Full Time role with some work in the evenings and on weekends. Travel is required about 15% of the time

Salary range of $140K-$160K
