Department Summary
The Office of Financial Resources & Operations provides the expertise, tools and other vital resources and services to help the campus community make informed decisions, plan thoughtfully for the future, and utilize its resources in the most effective and efficient manner. HSC is a complex organization with a budget of over $300 million allocated over 200 fund sources with employees totaling over 1,600 FTEs.
Position Overview
The Director of Strategic Analysis and Reporting reports to the VP of Finance and Planning. The Director plays a key role in performing strategic analyses for Senior Management. The primary focus of the work will be on long-range strategic planning, debt forecasting, proforma business planning, return on investments (ROIs), key performance indicator review, business assessments, performance reviews, audit management, management reports, as well as a wide variety of policies and procedure-based analyses. Specific tasks include conducting financial analysis, preparing financial reports, creating dashboards (Power BI), and creating PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate the institution's financial position.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Duties:
% - Provides management guidance in handling of administrative, technical, operational, finance and accounting duties at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC). - ()
% - Monitor usage of General Revenue, Higher Education Fund (HEF) funds, and Endowment funds and reconcile to the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS). - ()
% - Participating in the development, monitoring, and analysis of the institutional budget and forecast. - ()
% - Performing professional accounting functions including, but no limited to, complex reporting, analysis and reconciliation and work with the Associate Controllers Office to ensure that monthend and annual close processes are completed timely. - ()
% - Support HSC in implementing long range fiscal planning and strategic initiatives. - ()
% - Creates and interprets financial analytic data to management and executive leaders at HSC timely and accurately to support the decisionmaking process through dashboard reports (POWER BI) and PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate the financial position of the institution. - ()
% - Designs and prepares special reports as requested by university administration; assists in preparing the Legislative Appropriation Request (LAR). - ()
% - Preparing and analyzing internal and external financial reports; maintaining and enhancing financial models; ensuring policy compliance. - ()
