We are the prime manufacturer in the Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) system. We manufacture buildings in chunks that can be transported and assembled on site into complex buildings quickly. We have over 700 employees, eleven production lines and have experienced significant growth through 2023.

An industry-leading manufacturing company is seeking a dynamic and strategic Permanent Director of Supply Chain to join our team. This role will be responsible for the overall management and performance of our supply chain, including purchasing, logistics, warehouse management, and vendor management. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Kanban methodologies, and will be able to effectively apply these principles to optimize our supply chain processes. This is a critical leadership role within our organization, and offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with our company's business goals.
• Oversee all aspects of our supply chain, including purchasing, logistics, warehouse management, and vendor management.
• Work closely with our production and sales teams to forecast demand and ensure that our supply chain can meet this demand in a timely and cost-
  
  

effective manner.

• Use Lean Manufacturing and Kanban methodologies to streamline our supply chain processes and eliminate waste.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for our company.
• Monitor and manage our supply chain performance, using data and analytics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure that our supply chain operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop our supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior supply chain role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kanban methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of supply chain management, including purchasing, logistics, warehouse management, and vendor management.
• Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and prices from vendors and suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve supply chain performance.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other teams within our organization.
• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant professional certification would be an asset.
