Distribution Planning Engineer

Allied Resources is looking for a Distribution Planning Engineer to provide engineering planning services to clients, including capital work plans, system planning, reliability enhancements, and smart grid improvements, aiming to support infrastructure improvements and secure funding. A day in the life:

• short and long-term system planning studies, including RUS 4 or 5-year construction work plans.
• distribution studies, such as voltage drop, load, harmonics, renewable energy, feasibility, motor voltage spike, and arc flash studies.
• technical leadership and engineering planning services to clients, developing capital improvement plans and offering technology solutions.
• project budgets, analyze financial implications, coordinate with internal and external teams, and maintain client relationships while staying abreast of industry developments.

The wish list:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• P.E. License Required.
• 5 years of experience with electric utility operations or related service providers.
• Proficient in distribution system planning, smart grid initiatives, and system reliability strategies within the electric power sector.
• Skilled in software tools such as Milsoft, WindMil, or CYMETop of Form
