Distribution Planning Engineer
Allied Resources is looking for a Distribution Planning Engineer to provide engineering planning services to clients, including capital work plans, system planning, reliability enhancements, and smart grid improvements, aiming to support infrastructure improvements and secure funding. A day in the life:
short and long-term system planning studies, including RUS 4 or 5-year construction work plans.
distribution studies, such as voltage drop, load, harmonics, renewable energy, feasibility, motor voltage spike, and arc flash studies.
technical leadership and engineering planning services to clients, developing capital improvement plans and offering technology solutions.
project budgets, analyze financial implications, coordinate with internal and external teams, and maintain client relationships while staying abreast of industry developments.
The wish list:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
P.E. License Required.
5 years of experience with electric utility operations or related service providers.
Proficient in distribution system planning, smart grid initiatives, and system reliability strategies within the electric power sector.
Skilled in software tools such as Milsoft, WindMil, or CYMETop of Form
