We are looking for a highly skilled and certified Drone Pilot to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating drones for commercial purposes and possess all necessary certifications and permits to fly drones in the USA. The Drone Pilot will be responsible for conducting aerial surveys, capturing high-quality images, and ensuring the safety and compliance of all flight operations.
This is a part-time role working 15 to 30 hours per week, with night and weekend shifts. The activities will take place in the city of Detroit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate drones for various commercial applications, including aerial surveys, inspections, photography, and videography.
- Plan and execute flight missions, including pre-flight checks, risk assessments, and post-flight analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations and company policies.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of drone equipment.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional results.
- Analyze and interpret aerial data to generate reports and provide actionable insights.
- Maintain accurate flight records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Extensive experience operating drones for commercial purposes.
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and airspace management.
- Proficiency in drone flight planning software and aerial data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites in the USA.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with different types of drones and payloads.
- Background in GIS, photogrammetry, or related fields.
- Knowledge of data processing software such as Pix4D, DroneDeploy, or similar.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry drone equipment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
