Birth – Kindergarten Education. North Carolina Birth to Kindergarten Licensure preferred.
Dedicated to child development and early childhood education; oriented to the concept of the total family.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in direct services to young children.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between various agency sites, community resources, and home visits
Meet federal and state background check and drug screen requirements
Ability to work with a diverse population.
Ability to articulate ideas clearly (both written and oral)
Job Description:
Lead Teacher provides a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting for children enrolled in Family Services Child
Development Head Start/Early Head Start program. The Lead Teacher actively promotes school readiness goals and set appropriate goals that address the five essential domains (social-emotional, cognitive development & general knowledge, language/literacy, physical development & health and approaches to learning).
Develop individual goals, provide ongoing assessment on the developmental progress, and facilitate transitions into kindergarten
