Position Mission
To develop ecommerce strategies to achieve annual sales and conversion growth metrics and lead a team responsible for executing ecommerce merchandising strategies required to meet channel goals and improve customer experience.
The Ecommerce Manager is responsible for leading and executing the company's ecommerce strategy across all ecommerce platforms (DTC site, wholesale site, Amazon & Walmart marketplaces, and more), achieving annual sales growth targets, and enhancing the digital shopping experience. They oversee the development, management, and optimization of ecommerce platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. The Ecommerce Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, maximize conversion rates, and drive revenue growth.

They oversee the development, management, and optimization of ecommerce platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. The Ecommerce Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, maximize conversion rates, and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Site Performance & Analytics
- Create goals and deliver results against annual ecommerce forecasts and budgets (sales goals, conversion metrics, and operational expenses)
- Utilize data analytics tools to track and analyze key performance metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, and customer engagement.
- Continuously monitor site metrics, making data-driven decisions to refine strategies and improve performance, with focus on revenue growth.
- Develop and implement a web content strategy for search engine optimization.
- Generate insightful reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage a team responsible for the development and execution of merchandising strategies across all ecommerce platforms to maximize product visibility and drive sales.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to maintain a relevant, engaging, and best-brand-forward homepage experience that aligns merchandising efforts with promotional campaigns and business objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and optimize product placement.
- Utilize customer analytics to build efficient cross-sell and upsell opportunities across all ecommerce platforms.
- Partner with Amazon agency to ensure storefront and product page content is optimized and regularly refreshed.
- Oversees the design, development, and maintenance of the eCommerce website, ensuring optimal user experience, functionality, and performance.
- Manage multiple 3rd party development teams to ensure seamless integration of site changes.
- Introduce and conduct A/B testing and gather feedback to refine website functionality and design elements.
- Analyzes customer journey data and feedback to identify opportunities for improving the online shopping experience. Implements strategies to enhance user interface, navigation, checkout process, and customer service.
- Critical KPIs for this role include: revenue generated, conversion, A/B test performance, average order value
- Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred
- 3+ years management experience
- Demonstrated experience working with Shopify, Google Analytics, NetSuite, and Amazon required
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required
- Knowledge of digital marketing tactics and channels, including SEO, SEM, email and sms marketing
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices, with demonstrated experience in website optimization.
- Experience with a well-established, premium retail consumer brand a plus
- Availability during non-standard business hours including nights and weekends will be required during high volume periods throughout the year
- Position is not remote and is located in our corporate office in Richmond, VA
