We are looking for a qualified and motivated intern seeking an exceptional opportunity to gain real-world electrical engineering experience. At the completion of your internship, you will have had the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge power electronics solutions and complete multiple physical products/projects as a tangible demonstration of your acquired expertise and skills. This is a paid internship, and we require a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week.

This role will require you to be flexible and perform many different tasks, including but not limited to:
- Testing electrical circuits and components using computer-controlled data collection
- Analyze the data collected and visualize the data using python
- Designing and building surface mount electrical circuits
- Design 3D models for different projects
- Testing high-voltage circuits (10s of kilovolt)
- Research on cutting edge technology such as ion propulsion and induction plasma
- Perform hands-on tasks such as building ion propulsion drone or assembling power supply prototypes
- Design circuit topologies that are optimized for the product including component selection and design tradeoffs
- Assembly of surface mount PCB board and test of circuits after assembly
- Design and build an ion propelled drone including the mechanical structure and the super-lightweight on-board power supply
- Testing ion propelled drone prototypes, which usually involves >40 kV
- Contacting business partners to enquire about their products
- Any other tasks that the management may deem necessary to complete client project deliverables
- Must have basic electrical engineering knowledge
- Good physics and math skills required
- Hands-on experience in building things is preferred
- Able to pick up new skills rapidly and being able to adapt to different roles in the company
- Coding skill is preferred
- Self-motivated, driven, independent, and able to work without supervision if necessary
- Works well in a fast-paced environment and is able to communicate well with others
- Willing to try out different tasks every day
- Creative thinking and the ability to think on the spot
- Smart and hardworking
