Job Summary
The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the Electrical Engineering team, ensuring high-quality design and analysis to support various field and fabrication offices. This role involves both leadership and technical expertise, ensuring projects meet industry standards and company values.
Essential Functions
Safety & Ethics: Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and uphold high moral standards, adhering to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Technical Expertise: Apply thorough knowledge of current engineering principles and practices to address various organizational aspects.
Problem-Solving: Use expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and unique conditions.
Innovation: Stay informed about new methods and developments, recommending new practices or program changes as needed.
Specialization: Serve as the technical specialist in applying advanced concepts, principles, and methods within assigned areas.
Leadership: Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments for multiple major projects or entire programs.
Compliance: Review operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures.
Team Supervision: Supervise all electrical engineering staff, providing guidance and administrative supervision.
Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with project managers, clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others routinely.
Project Leadership: Lead project meetings, make presentations, and maintain liaisons with individuals and related organizations.
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as directed.
Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Education: BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university required; MS degree preferred.
Licensing: Professional Engineer License preferred.
Industry Standards: In-depth experience with NFPA, IEEE, and API codes and practices.
Construction Knowledge: Working knowledge of construction methods and best practices.
Project Management: Familiarity with project management terms, metrics, and procedures.
Delegation Skills: Experience in delegating work and planning multiple responsibilities.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional overtime and travel as required.
