Job Title: Electronic Data Interface Engineer (EDI)

Location: Wyoming, MI

Duration: Long term

JRD Systems is seeking a skilled and motivated EDI Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform analysis on current EDI feeds, migrate them to different applications, handle day-to-day requests and support for our EDI application with PVX EDI (PxPlus), and work closely with customers to perform testing post-migration. The EDI Engineer will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our EDI systems, contributing to improved business processes and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

EDI Feed Analysis:

• Conduct detailed analysis of current EDI feeds to understand existing workflows, data structures, and business requirements.
• Identify areas for improvement and optimization in the current EDI processes.

Migration of EDI Feeds:

• Plan and execute the migration of EDI feeds to new applications.
• Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during the migration process.
• Document all migration processes and changes for future reference and compliance purposes.

Day-to-Day EDI Support:

• Provide daily support and troubleshooting for the EDI application with PVX EDI (PxPlus).
• Respond to and resolve EDI-related issues and requests from internal teams and external partners.
• Maintain and update EDI configurations and mappings as required.

Customer Collaboration and Testing:

• Work with different customers to perform testing of EDI feeds after migration.
• Ensure that all customer requirements are met and that EDI transactions are processed accurately.
• Provide training and support to customers on the new EDI system as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all EDI processes, configurations, and changes.
• Generate regular reports on EDI system performance, issues, and resolutions.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in EDI and data exchange.
• Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the EDI systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as an EDI Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, and HL7.
• Experience with PVX EDI (PxPlus) tools and applications.
• Proficiency in data mapping, translation, and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with various ERP, CRM, and other business systems is a plus.
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with migration projects involving EDI systems.
• Knowledge of secure data transmission protocols and best practices.
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages used in EDI configurations.
• Preferred experience with PVX EDI (PxPlus) and related tools.
