Maxim Integrated Products, LLC (“Maxim”) is filing an Application for Alien Employment Certification for the below described job description:

Position: Engineer, Product Engineering (Manufacturing) (Beaverton, Oregon)

Duties: Apply circuit design, device physics, and semiconductor processing knowledge to solve challenging problems in a manufacturing environment. Collaborate across technical teams to solve problems at their root by analyzing circuit architectures. Improve the quality of ADI’s production processes and technologies by ascertaining and correcting the root cause of yield problems with ADI’s mixed signal and analog integrated circuits (“IC”) in mass production and during second source fab qualification. Provide Production Support Engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to in-house or outsourced production. Interface with design, process, test, reliability and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems. Develop and sustain process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields. Perform Yield Enhancement and Failure Analysis on a variety of analog and mixed signal ICs. Define problems by identifying failure modes, quantity of material affected, percent fallout, and other criteria. Develop bench test hardware and software for IC fault isolation. Perform lab analysis of discrepant ICs, working with multi-functional team to identify, simulate, and correct functional and parametric problems. Analyze statistical data to evaluate product performance.

Requirements: Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Materials, Chemical or related Engineering discipline (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus one (1) year of experience as an electrical engineer or related occupation developing code to automate testing, and performing testing and analysis of microelectronics or, alternatively, a Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Materials, Chemical or related Engineering discipline (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).

Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing yield enhancement and failure analysis on a variety of analog and mixed signal ICs; DE defining manufacturing yield problems by identifying failure modes, and the quantity of material affected; DE performing data analysis, characterization, and fault isolation to determine root cause of problems; and DE isolating digital faults using test data and simulating IC design in Linux environment.

Salary: $107,037.00/year
