Our client at Capstone IT is looking to hire a Fulltime Electrical Engineering Manager to join their team and help develop the electrical infrastructure for new projects. They want this person to ensure safety compliance, manage electrical contractors, and design innovative solutions that meet industry standards.


Responsibilities:


  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical projects adhere to relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Design & Installation: Design, configure, and oversee the installation of HV/MV and LV electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, motors, cables, and power factor correction.
  • Standards & Regulations: Apply knowledge of North American and European electrical standards (UL, NEC, NEMA, NFPA, OSHA, MSHA, IEC) to all projects.
  • Project Management: Write the scope of work, manage requests for quotations, and ensure project technical compliance. Oversee project documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and user manuals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and integrate electrical systems into multidisciplinary projects. Provide technical support and resolve electrical issues during testing, commissioning, and operation.
  • Control Systems: Design and implement control strategies based on plant manufacturing processes. Utilize distributed control systems (DCS), PLC-based control systems, and both analog and digital I/O systems.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical power distribution design and implementation.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components, circuits, power systems, and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Solid project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering quality results.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments and present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
