Job Description: ETF Trader – Fixed Income Government Bonds

Our client, a leading global proprietary trading firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced ETF Trader specializing in Fixed Income Government Bonds to join their dynamic team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background and expertise in running strategies, pricing, and analytics, with a particular focus on both on-the-run and off-the-run treasuries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trading:
• Execute trades in fixed income government bonds, focusing on both on-the-run and off-the-run treasuries.
• Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize profitability.
• Monitor market trends and conditions to identify trading opportunities.
• Quantitative Analysis:
• Conduct quantitative analysis to support trading decisions.
• Develop and refine pricing models for government bonds.
• Utilize analytics to optimize trading strategies and manage risks.
• Pricing and Analytics:
• Work on pricing fixed income securities, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
• Perform detailed analytics on market data to inform trading strategies.
• Collaborate with other team members to enhance trading tools and models.

Requirements:

• Experience:
• Proven experience in trading fixed income government bonds, with a focus on both on-the-run and off-the-run treasuries.
• Strong quantitative background, with experience in running trading strategies and conducting in-depth analysis.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in pricing and analytics of fixed income securities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure trading environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education:
