Job Description:
RUDIS is currently seeking a Director of Events to elevate the overall planning, operations, strategy, and policy of the business unit. The Director of Events is responsible for financial, cultural and brand success of all personnel, products, and operational needs within the event revenue stream. This role requires a strong business acumen, leadership skills, and problem-solving ability.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquisition and negotiation for event merchandising rights in line with financial goals, forecasting, and budget control
Forecasting the business needs in regard to product, process, people, and capital expenditures
Define the overall event strategy aligned with the company goals, ensuring each event contributes to brand positioning and revenue growth
Responsible for all inventory, infrastructure, and personnel spend
Collaborate with Marketing team to create a pitch deck for schools to acquire new events and local staffing
Oversee an events team providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure a smooth execution of events
Formalize and create standard for training and routine operations
Works in concert with all levels of executive leadership
Takes ownership and is able to consistently speak to current state of events operation
Conducts post-event evaluations to measure success and identify areas for improvement
Development of general event management policies
Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating innovative ideas to enhance event experiences and revenue opportunities
Ensuring brand standards are upheld by event staff and company policies are followed
Required Experience & Qualifications:
5+ years of event management experience or other leadership experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, business or related field preferred
Track record of successfully managing teams and owning P&Ls
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required by the demands of the event
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams to deliver results
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Proven, successful experience working in a fast paced, high pressurized environment on multiple deliverable-driven projects from concept to completion
