Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. a world leader in Semiconductor technology, is seeking a highly talented and motivated person to temporarily join our Marketing Communications team as an Events Manager (Contractor) to assist with an exceptionally busy Fall event calendar. The ideal candidate is deadline-driven and responsible for organizing, managing, and delivering a wide range of external and internal events at an exceptional level.

What You’ll Do

Samsung Semiconductor’s Events Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, management, and delivery of experiential industry and employee events. Event programs will span internal and external events, virtual, physical, or hybrid. This position works closely with external agencies, marketing, product, and internal product and support teams to ensure all events reflect the company’s strategy and vision across North America.

The ideal candidate will be able to understand the big picture strategy of why something is important, and must be able to work independently and as a part of a team. He or she will know how to prioritize and work under pressure while dealing with ambiguity and working with multiple stakeholders around the world. A proactive and flexible mindset, collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate.

Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose headquarters 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

  • Work within the marketing communications organization across multiple business units to identify and develop customized event plans; organize and execute all details
  • Manage all aspects of events including internal consulting, vendor negotiation, contract administration, logistics, expense monitoring and budgeting, post-event reporting, invoicing and financial reconciliation; Maintain plan of record and documentation for each event.
  • Work with MarCom and support teams for all corporate events. (Town Halls, Company Picnics, Holiday Events and employee engagement programs)
  • Coordinate with HQ teams to develop and implement event plans, objectives, and collateral for Memory, Foundry, S.LSI, R&D events and tradeshows.
  • Collaborate across communications and brand team to develop event creative, content, and promotional needs.
  • Assist in evaluating event performance, including post-event analysis, de-briefs and wrap-up reports
  • Propose innovative and creative event concepts in line with current and future industry trends across both virtual and in-person events.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to experiential marketing, event management, public relations or communications.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an event manager in a corporate setting.
  • Extensive knowledge in managing events from conception to completion, including complex logistics, venue liaison, production, speaker sourcing, budget management and onsite execution.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced events environment with track record of owning and delivering concurrent events from conception to successful completion.
  • Exceptional project management, and time management skills – highly organized, detail-focused, results-driven, and accountable with the ability to handle high-pressure last-minute, urgent requests
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office suite and project management tools
  • Must be flexible with the ability to travel to event locations as required (including weekends as needed) specific to each assigned event
  • W-2 contract position through Eastridge MSP

The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions. Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training.

Base Pay Range

$50—$65 USD
