The Evolv Wellness Activity Facilitator is responsible for providing support to clients outside of clinical programming. The Evolv Wellness Activity Facilitator ensures the physical and emotional safety of the clients while facilitating meaningful adventure and experiential groups to promote growth and help clients build resiliency.
Essential Job Functions:
Works closely with the multidisciplinary treatment team to assist clients with working towards their treatment goals of recovery and mental health stabilization.
Facilitate support during adventure activities such as kayaking, Tai Chi, rock climbing, beach meditation, etc.
Transport and supervise clients to and from adventure activities.
Supervises clients with emphasis on safety and well-being, reminding clients of program rules and reporting infractions appropriately.
Understands the need for appropriate client/staff boundaries and maintains a strict therapeutic relationship.
Addresses problem behaviors, confronts counter-productive behavior appropriately in a manner that elicits respect and builds rapport with the client while still enforcing program rules and regulations in a firm but fair manner.
Maintains van cleanliness. Assist clients to develop appropriate cleaning skills by role modeling.
Understand and follow all policies and procedures set forth by the Clinical Director, Executive VP(s), and CEO.
Adhere to all company policies and safety rules, guidelines & procedures.
To continuously increase ones’ base of knowledge by utilizing educational opportunities and completing twenty annual Continuing Education Units as required per FAC 65D-30.
To adhere to all federal confidentiality standards (HIPAA).
Knowledge of Client rights and treats all clients with dignity and respect in a consistent manner
Any other necessary duties as directed by the supervisor.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Necessary Abilities:
Athletic and able to give general instructions to clients during adventure activities
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to withstand extreme temperatures; both heat and cold
Operate a passenger van
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License (required)
2 years’ experience in the Substance Abuse field (required)
Life guard certified (preferred not required)
CAC, CAP, CTRS or CRSS certification (preferred not required)
All employees may be required to work before, during and/or immediately after a natural or man-made disaster
Range:
$25.00 / Hourly
