The Exhibits Manager is responsible for leading the overall delivery of trade shows for a group of clients within a specified portfolio. As a trade show specialist, the Exhibits Manager develops and implements trade show components of event strategy and delivery. This role involves trade show project management, financial management, team management, and oversight of all aspects of trade show delivery for assigned clients.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategy Support:

  • Support the Event Director in developing and implementing trade show aspects of event strategy.
  • Develop trade show strategies, solutions, and innovations tailored to client needs to support the overall event strategy and achieve event outcomes.
  • Support future site selection strategy and confirm venue ability to deliver on client trade show specifications.


Trade Show Management:

  • Plan and manage trade show project plans, exhibit hall floor plans, show floor specialty areas, education sessions, and poster sessions.
  • Develop and manage project plans and timelines, including end-to-end logistical management.
  • Manage trade show financials, including budgeting, monitoring financial performance, and resolving issues.
  • Lead floor plan management and oversee the space selection process.
  • Oversee exhibitor communications, customer service, and sponsorship fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with third-party suppliers and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Conduct show analysis to support trade show growth aligned with event strategy.
  • Facilitate continuous communication between service units, clients, exhibitors/sponsors, attendees, and suppliers.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of trade show management experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, both domestic and international (travel may include weekends).
  • Knowledge of meeting and trade show industry terminology and comprehensive knowledge of meeting planning, tradeshow, and sponsorship processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Association experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with venues, facilities, convention centers, and convention city packages throughout the country.
  • Project management experience, including meeting deadlines on time and on budget.
  • Experience and comfort with financial management processes, including budgeting practices.
  • Experience with international meetings and tradeshows is a plus.
  • Experience with Exhibit Management software is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or other CRMs is a plus.
