The Kitchen Operations Manager is a Full-Time Year Round position that will oversee winter operations, catering events, weddings and summer kitchen operations.
The Kitchen Operations Manager will be responsible for the operations of all kitchens with-in the Hospitality Division. The focus of this position is ensuring all kitchens operate in a safe, profitable, organized, consistent and professional manner. Outlets that are to be overseen by the Kitchen Operations Manager are, but not limited to: Hart Prairie Lodge, Freemont, Agassiz, 9500, Trails End Food Trailer and Humphreys Yurt. This position will also be involved with the Kitchen at Basecamp Lodge.
Snowbowl operates as a high volume facility that requires a person to be very organized, great with proactive communication and have the skills to teach, train and hold associates accountable. This position is a hands on position and requires a lot of standing time in and around the kitchen operation areas.
Ensure that rules and regulations of the State of Arizona as well as Arizona Snowbowl are followed and staff is in accordance with all rules and regulations at all times.
Ensure effective communication within the department, with other departments and with Guests in a professional manner in regards to Arizona Snowbowl.
Responsible for conduct of employees including hiring, training, scheduling, appearance, guest interaction and overall time management.
Creating Menus and Recipes for Catering Events, Winter and Summer Operations
Monthly food inventory and food cost
Responsible for kitchen cleanliness as well as proper opening and closing of any kitchen under your supervision.
Accountable for Health Inspection Standards and Results
Comply with any state, federal or company policy in effect at all times.
Daily Kitchen Operations and efficiencies
Execution of Meal Services that apply to the Season:
Winter Ski Season ( November - May)
Summer Season ( May-October)
Wedding Season ( June- October)
Basecamp Lodge ( Year Round)
Other Duties And Responsibilities
Report to work in proper attire as listed in the Food and Beverage Handbook at the scheduled time.
Maintain the highest degree of professionalism and service.
Ensure a clean, safe and orderly work area for employees and guests.
Carry out all policies and procedures or the Arizona Snowbowl as prescribed in the Employee Handbook and kitchen training manual.
Ability to handle weights of up to 65lbs.
