Family Law Associate Attorney

The Ford Agency is currently recruiting candidates to join a boutique firm in Montgomery County specializing in Family and Estate Planning. This is a terrific role for a recent law school graduate or an up and coming associate with 1+ years of experience looking for a supporting firm to grow their career with. Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare legal correspondence, such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, and motions
• Conduct legal research
• Prepare for and attend hearings
• Provide legal counsel under the supervision of partners and senior attorneys

Qualifications Include:

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to the Maryland Bar or Bar Exam scheduled
• 1+ years of experience in Family, Estate Planning, or Disability Benefits Law
• Excellent research and writing skills and strong analytical skills
• Familiarity with legal research databases, such as Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, and PACER
• Proficiency is MSOffice
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability interact with different constituencies (other attorneys, clients, courtroom officials)

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
