ZAPTrack is an early-stage startup focused on making organic farming more scalable. The supply is unable to keep up with the demand for organic food! ZAPTrack eliminates labor-intensive jobs such as manual weeding using robotics and AI-enabled specialized farm equipment.
Role Description
This is a temporary on-site role for a Farmer at ZAPTrack. The Farmer will be responsible for performing day-to-day tasks related to farming, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. The Farmer will also be responsible for maintaining farm equipment, monitoring crop health and irrigation systems, and operating organic weed control machinery. This role requires working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
Ideally looking for somebody with a background in farming and is looking to get more involved in tech! There will be multiple opportunities to switch from farming to operating semi-automated machines and eventually managing autonomous equipment!
Qualifications
Experience in farming, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
Knowledge of farm equipment and maintenance
Skills in monitoring crop health and irrigation systems
Familiarity with pest control strategies and practices
Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
Physical stamina and strength
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to closely follow instructions
Good communication and teamwork skills
