Acoustic Engineer and Western Region Sales Manager

We are specialized in high-end solutions: acoustic components and capacitive/inductive sensing solutions. Together with our technology partners we are serving B2B customers in the Smart Home, Mobile Consumer Electronics, IoT, Wearables, Automotive, Medical and Industrial sectors.
We are present in the USA since more than 12 years with a very well-established number of running customers.
We are looking for a motivated Field Sales Engineer in our San Diego, California office to reinforce the activity in North America. He or she will be trained and supported by the local Sales Manager.
THE POSITION
Sales Effort
Implement sales plan to meet sales volume, revenue and market share
Visit prospects and customers on the West Coast in a defined territory to maintain existing business and develop new opportunities
Supply fully detailed customer visit reports
Reply to customers’ requests regarding commercial and technical issues
Maintain and strengthen relationship with Seltech’s key partners such as Knowles and Azoteq
Build forecasts with existing and potential customers
Present an updated budget in the company CRM system
Marketing Effort
Collect customer information such as organization structure, market position, etc.
Do market research for audio, video and connected devices market segments to locate potential customers
Collect dates and places of fairs involving potential or existing customers
Get competition information for evaluation of the market position
Find new market opportunities and product trends
Technical Effort
Learn and enhance technical knowledge on acoustics and sensor technologies to be able to provide technical support to the customers and offer competitive solutions
Collect and share technical information to improve the global technical knowledge of Seltech team
Salary
According to the VIE program
All expenses related to business trips will be assumed by Seltech

YOUR PROFILE
Experience:
1 to 5 years experience in sales or in a technical field
Language skills:
Proficient in French and English, written and spoken
Required:
With an Engineering Degree, electrical/mechanical engineering preferred
Willing to travel
Team player, confident in direct customer communication
Pro-active working style and entrepreneurial spirit
You can demonstrate sales orientation, negotiation and organizational skills
You have technical interest and understanding in the field of electronics
