Finance Specialist

The Finance Specialist is responsible to analyze, report and provide guidance to the Leaders in Coca-Cola Southwest Beverage on their operational expense. This role is responsible for managing OPEX spend through analysis and auditing.

OPEX Budget & Forecast Process:

• Assist in the Budget and Forecast process
• Participates in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
• Provide Financial insight to OPEX results on a Monthly/Quarterly/Annual perspective
• Providing support to the Finance Manager

OPEX Month End Close Process:

• Provides month-end commentary related to OPEX finance results of Actuals vs PY, Budget and Forecast
• Prepare month-end entries including accruals and reclasses related to HQ OPEX and other role responsibilities
• Prepares HQ leadership financial reports for monthly financial review meetings
• Participates in HQ leadership monthly financial review

OPEX Analysis:

• OPEX analysis reporting for key leadership
• Analyze and consolidate spend data from various sources
• Prepares monthly OPEX rollups for spend analysis

Support for Business Partners:

• Quarterly & adhoc reporting using the Bottler Profitability Model
• Provide ad-hoc financial support and reporting to key leadership
• Support achievement of EBITDA targets, primarily through analysis of results
• Follows the Charts of Authority
• Ensures consistency of accounting treatment and proper application of GAAP and Company financial policies to financial transactions
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Other duties and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
• Knowledge of Excel preferred
• Financial Acumen
• Reporting, General Ledger, Month/Quarter/Year End Close process
• Experience in the budgeting/planning process desired
• Must be flexible and able to work with multiple projects with excellent attention to detail and deadlines
• Experience with variance analysis
• Meticulous, initiative-taker with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
