Financial Reporting Manager

We are recruiting for a Financial Reporting Manager position on behalf of our client, a well established and growing Insurance company based in Texas.

The ideal candidate would be required to collaborate with senior leadership to support and lead high priority initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in the production of financial reports
• Coordination of month end close process.
• Actively oversee work performance of four team members.
• Develop and implement process improvements, and internal control enhancements to streamline financial reporting and strengthen the control environment.
• Prepare and analyze periodic financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other applicable regulations.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• Insurance Industry experience, preferably Life & Annuity but would consider P&C experience also.
• Public accounting experience, preferably within a big four environment.
• Must have leadership/people management experience.
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills.
