Fire Alarm Inspection Technician

We are actively seeking skilled Fire Alarm Inspectors to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will play a key part in inspecting, testing, and maintaining Life Safety systems. The emphasis of this position is on inspections, ensuring the safety and functionality of Life Safety systems.

Pay range: $25.00-$35.00/HR

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and occasional repair tasks on fire alarm systems.
  • Respond promptly to scheduled and emergency service requests, performing in-depth troubleshooting, repair, and/or replacement of system equipment.
  • Desire for experience in Fire Extinguisher, Kitchen Hood, and Special Hazard (FM-200 / CO2) system services.
  • Possess the ability to operate Low Voltage Systems, including fire alarm, nurse call, access control, security, or CCTV.
  • Resolve problems efficiently through research of multiple alternatives.
  • Communicate effectively with other contractors and building owners.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and operational product manuals.
  • Assist customers on-site with questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Effectively communicate project status to management.
  • Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
  • Preferably hold industry-related NICET and/or ASEBL-level II certification or the ability to obtain within one year of hire
  • Preferred experience with manufacturers such as Edwards/EST, Kidde, Notifier, FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, and Gamewell/FCI.

Basic Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Meet requirements related to background and driving record.
  • Proficient in the use and application of industry-related equipment, including MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, utilizing tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates with fire sprinkler system experience are highly preferred, contributing valuable expertise to our team.
  • This role is strictly focused on inspections, emphasizing the evaluation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
  • NICET or ASEBL-level II certification is desired, showcasing a commitment to excellence in fire alarm inspections and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
