Food and Beverage Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Food & Beverage Manager (Floating)

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

REPORTS TO: Director of Outlets

Summary: The Floating Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple F&B outlets within the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest service, optimal efficiency, and adherence to brand standards. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in F&B management, capable of adapting to different environments and managing diverse teams across the Living Room Bar, Citrus Club Rooftop, and In-Room Dining.

Essential Functions

Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive product and maintain a culture of luxury service by circulating the restaurant floor, continually checking in with guests and service staff to ensure satisfaction.
  • Facilitate the training, supervision, scheduling, evaluating, and directing of all direct reports.
  • Handle guest concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Monitor and supervise the set-up and maintenance of all aspects of the restaurant, ensuring that standards are consistently exceeded.
  • Organize, build, and maintain a professional work environment.
  • Assist with recruitment and training of teammates, ensuring staff performance is continuously improving.
  • Manage overall profit and loss statements.
  • Organize and conduct pre-shift departmental meetings, communicating all pertinent information to teammates.
  • Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering, and retrieving supplies.
  • Complete reports on production, filling out necessary requisitions and controlling distribution of necessary supplies.
  • Provide direct service to guests as needed by serving, bussing tables, and seating guests.
  • Ensure the department abides by all safety and sanitation policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Manager in an upscale or luxury hotel operation required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and transcriptions.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products required.
  • Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages required.
  • Budgetary analysis capabilities required.
  • Ability to stand and remain mobile for up to 10 hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to complete tasks.
  • The position requires the flexibility to move between different F&B outlets within the hotel.
  • The role involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying hours.
