IFG Chicago's client in the Greater Chicago Area is hiring for an FP&A Financial Analyst position. The responsibilities of this role include managing the sales commissions process for North America, ensuring data integrity, and overseeing Power BI reporting. Responsibilities
Forecasting Financial Performance: Gather daily financial data from multiple systems and business segments for forecasting. Analyze results with the Director of FP&A before presenting to Executive Management.
Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow trends, and comparisons of actual, budget, and proforma activity.
North American Sales Commissions: Oversee calculations, ensure timely and accurate accounting entries, train others to balance workload, and provide payroll files to HR.
Global Sales Commissions Development: Develop and automate global sales commissions processes and reporting using GTA logic and Power BI. Ensure data integrity and assist with reconciliations.
Annual Budget Management: Participate in managing the annual budget process.
ROSI Reporting: Produce and enhance the Return on Sales Investment (ROSI) report monthly.
Power BI Reporting: Design, develop, and manage new and existing Power BI and commissions reports.
Special Projects and Process Improvement: Assist with special projects and identify opportunities to refine current processes.
Compliance: Ensure all reporting aligns with reported financial information.
Skills And Abilities
Respond to inquiries from management, auditors and other authorities regarding the commissions/BI reporting issues; maintain response time within 24 hours of commissions email inbox
Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills
Ability to plan and organize work schedule; establish workload priorities
Must be extremely proficient with spreadsheets and database query skills (SQL)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
1-5+ years multi-entity, international company experience preferred
1+ years freight industry experience preferred
SQL (high proficiency)
AS400, CargoWise, Power BI, OneStream (nice to have)
