You will be joining the FP&A Center of Excellence (COE) team that manages a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team. The COE's Mission is to leverage scalable solutions to enable Meta FP&A to effectively centralize, standardize and optimize deliverables and processes to facilitate Meta's continued success. The COE is responsible for the daily FP&A operations and provides direct support to all finance managers. You need to have expert knowledge in finance and accounting operations. You will be at the forefront of managing the day-to-day operations of the outsourced vendor to help Finance continue to scale. You will play a critical role in the monthly close process, expense management, chart of account maintenance and financial management reporting for Meta businesses.

FP&A Center of Excellence Team Lead Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of outsourced vendor ensuring offshore team delivers quality, timely work product.
  • Identify and track outsourced team performance metrics and develop strategies to improve performance and evaluate process steps.
  • Lead process improvement projects across FP&A teams to streamline and automate existing FP&A processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Accounting, Enterprise Engineering, Source-to-Pay, CW Management and HR.
  • Monitor and ensure Vendor Desktop Procedures (DTPs) are maintained with a high level of quality.
  • Be willing to "roll up your sleeves" and take on or teach operational tasks in support of the team's goals
  • Outsourced vendor scope of work includes: Own monthly and quarterly close process for FP&A including PO accruals, Reclass JEs and Flux (Actuals vs. Forecast) template rollover and refreshes to ensure close accuracy. Own daily approvals including Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Contractor (CWs) requests, and Meta FTE movements. Own headcount and expense reporting and budget management Metadata or Chart of Account management Purchase Order (PO) and Contractor (CWs) management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
  • 6+ years accounting or financial experience including operational roles (e.g, GL accounting, FP&A, etc.)
  • Prior working experience with a captive or outsourced accounting or finance team, or a COE function.
  • Experience learning new systems / tools and proactively look for opportunities to create operational efficiencies with existing processes
  • Experience working and problem solving independently, organizing workload and priorities, and completing tasks on time
  • Experience with Financial Tools / Systems, Excel / Google Sheets, PPT / Google Slides
  • Proven project management skills, analytics, and experience juggling multiple priorities
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or MBA
  • Experience in Oracle Financials, Hyperion Planning, EPM, EDM
  • Experience managing and training finance analysts
  • Experience leading large scale cross-functional projects
  • Experience working with dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc. Proficient in SQL

$115,000/year to $166,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
