Job Description

The VP of Business Development will lead franchisor business and communications of 15+ franchisees and bring on new franchisees as opportunities present themselves. Success requires the ability to think strategically, build relationships, communicate effectively across a wide range of clients and execute with a high level of precision. New unit growth will come from both existing and new franchisees.


Retail or food service experience is required.


Any experience in brand management is also a huge bonus!


DUTIES:

  • Assists the franchisee in meeting the scheduled opening date.
  • Assist the franchisee in the store make-ready process by providing a checklist and advice
  • Insures stores merchandised according to plan
  • Responsible for reviewing the overall appearance and presentation of the stores both interior and exterior.
  • Find new ways to improve our buying power.
  • Maintain a relationship with our key vendors.
  • Provides design and cost advice
  • Assists the franchisee in meeting the scheduled opening date.
  • Visits every Franchise Store at least quarterly
  • Conducts at least 1 operational checklists per store per yearly
  • Insures compliant with our franchise agreement.
  • Assist Franchisees with training and new store openings.
  • Site selection
  • Leads New Franchise Training sessions
  • Keeps Franchisees well-informed of new developments and best practices
  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of communication to franchisees in default of their franchise agreements.
  • Maintains a professional partnership with members of the franchise community and serves as a liaison for addressing compliance concerns.
  • Provides clear and articulate communications to franchise community with regard to franchise governance adherence and compliance.
  • Lead or conduct routine analysis of the brand, key initiative, competition, category, customer and consumer. Synthesize key findings and indications which enhance brand and company performance.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE:

5-10 years in Franchise Development

6+ years’ experience preferably in retail or food service industry
