Job Description

  • Provide accurate and timely phone support.
  • Setup, install, repair and perform preventive maintenance on Company equipment at customer sites within assigned region.
  • Maintain customer and unit history on CRM database.
  • Document contact with customers on CRM.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform at a high level on the Company objectives program.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as stated in the quality system documentation manual, the safety manual and the employee handbook.

Authority to decide

(Authority to grant discount, signature authority, authority according to policies, etc.)

  • Determines labor and spare parts required on-site repairs.
  • Makes recommendations for parts replacement as a preventative measure.
  • Prioritizes open cases and machine repairs accordingly.
  • Signs evaluation and service reports.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in electronics or related experience

Work experience

Customer service experience preferred

Minimum of 3 years experience with skills in training, installing and repairing various models of industrial micro-processor controlled equipment

Expertise and methodology

(Business knowledge, languages, MS-Office, etc.)

  • MS-Office
  • General personal computer knowledge
  • Must be able to read and comprehend electrical schematics and drawing.

Other requirement criteria

(Personal related competence as social competence, management competence, strategic competence, willingness to travel, etc.)

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail when inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing units to ensure the work is accurate and complete.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged standing, sitting, stooping, bending.
  • Frequent travel.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Valid Passport.

Deliverables

Targets

  • Provide optimal and timely technical support in-house and on-site.

Performance indicators

  • Maintain open incidents to less than 50.
  • Meet weekly target for closed incidents.
  • Machine repair cycle time.
  • Repair return rate.
  • In person and web based assessments on equipment knowledge.
  • Customer feedback/surveys.

Quality and accuracy of data entry on CRM and other forms.
