A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Grants and Contracts Analyst in New York City, New York (NY). Responsibilities include:
In this role, the Grants and Contracts Analyst manages assigned contract portfolios from contract registration to closeout
Plans, organizes, and prepares for the timely processing of contract vouchers, billing packages, and submits reports to government/private funding sources
Grants and Contracts Analyst liaises with the various colleagues to coordinate staff allocation changes, and ensures changes are implemented in accounting system, and prepares staff allocation reports for review
Analyzes, reviews, and reconcile general ledger accounts by program
Verifies that reimbursements are not more than contract amounts
Ensures that contract revenues and expenditures are recorded in the appropriate general ledger accounts
Initiates timely follow-ups on outstanding accounts receivable balances and responds to requests with grantors
Grants and Contracts Analyst works in conjunction with other team members to ensure that department project completion deadlines are met
Creates and prepares Microsoft Excel schedules and control reports
Assists with individual program audits, as well as year-end audit
Provides forecast and analysis for assigned programs and potential new fundings
Provides budget narratives for assigned programs and/or new budget preparations
Coordinates and monitors subcontractor contract compliance, invoicing, payment, and reporting
As a Grants and Contracts Analyst, you will generate and analyze reports using Microsoft Excel
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience in a similar role within a non-profit organization
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to analyze large volumes of data
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism
Ability to maintain records and produce reports
Must be attentive to details and meet deadlines
Extremely organized and ability to respond to internal and external requests
Excellent oral and written communication skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
