Hourly Rate: $25-30 an hour (negotiable with experience)
Contract Length:10 hours a week for 90 days
Reports to: Senior Project Manager (will also work closely with CFO on grants)
Location: Columbus / Lancaster, OH area
POSITION SUMMARY:
Momentum Technologies Inc. is a developer of novel technology to recover critical metals from recycled Electric Vehicle Batteries. We are currently pursuing a project to construct a Commercial Demonstration Plant for that technology at a site near Lancaster, OH. Therefore, MTI desires the services of a Grants Research, Author and Community Relations Specialist to perform the following:
Research and Authorship of County, Regional, and State Grants and Other Incentives
Research grant and other incentive opportunities from government and non-government agencies for which MTI may qualify.
Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of the organization.
Prepare a corporate profile listing grant eligible characteristics
Identify Federal, State and Local business development and community development entities who offer grants and incentives
Establish and maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.
Develop and execute a plan for pursuing grants and incentives
Manage the development of grant and incentive applications
Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
Submit proposals to grant coordinators for approval.
Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
Preliminary Fund Provider Targets: One Columbus, Buckeye Hills, City of Lancaster Economic Development Council, US Federal including US EPA, NSF, DoD, and DOE; State including Jobs Ohio and others
Community Relations
Identify Stakeholders within the project area: Government - State, County, City; Special Economic Districts; NGO Agencies; Community Activist Groups; Labor Organizations; Educational/Talent Development Organizations
Develop and execute a Community Engagement Plan
Maintain records and submit reports of community interactions
