Responsible for leading and developing a team of Account managers with relationships in designated payer accounts (PBM’s, Health Plans and Government business) across Pharmacy and Medical Benefits.
Strong understanding of large National customers, their various business entities and how they work together.
Develop strong relationships with key payer executives across national and regional customers
Ability to work with above accounts to solve complex access, coverage and reimbursement issues and opportunities.
Negotiate profitable access for BBL portfolio, represent deals through governance process
Observe compliance with company policies.
Maintain market awareness and self-educate in fields that surround NAD job competencies by monitoring payer organizations such as AMCP, PCMA, Asembia and other related markets such as Specialty Pharmacy, GPO’s, National Org’s, and related business partners.
Have a working knowledge and awareness of changing CMS and Government regulations
Understand market dynamics and draft business plans with creditable long-term goals and communicate those plans to key stakeholders.
Deep knowledge of US payers and their economic drivers. Understand flow of the dollar for all channels. Familiar with National GPOs, Rebate contracts, Formulary and access impact on share.
Effectively manage contract and bid cycles across portfolio with C&P team
Builds strong working relationships with Biocon Biologics home office personnel
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; Master’s/advanced degree preferred Minimum 10 years of managed markets experience
Strong financial acumen

Therapeutic experience in biologics space, Oncology, Diabetes, and Immunology marketplace preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of payer decision-making for formulary processes, coverage, coding, billing, and patient access to drugs, biologicals, medical devices
Exceptional communication skills that include verbal, written and presentation abilities
Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities
Experience negotiating contracts and agreements
Outstanding consultative and networking capabilities
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
Ability to skillfully negotiate in tough situations with both internal and external groups
Understanding of organizational behavior, corporate culture and be able to flourish in a complex and rapidly evolving workplace
Extensive relationships and contracting experience with payers, health systems and organized customers at the national and regional level
