POSITION OVERVIEW: The HR Generalist will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, and training employees. This role focuses on building a robust network of skilled employees, ensuring compliance, and facilitating employee integration and continuous development.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Sourcing and Recruiting:
Develop and implement strategies to source and recruit.
Utilize various recruitment channels such as job boards, social media, industry events, and referrals.
Screen and select candidates based on their qualifications and fit the company’s needs.
Onboarding
Create and manage a comprehensive onboarding program for various roles within the organization.
Ensure all necessary documentation (contracts, insurance, certifications) is completed accurately and on time.
Introduce new employees to company policies, procedures, and expectations.
Training And Development
Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Develop and deliver training sessions on company policies, safety regulations, and best practices.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary.
Compliance And Risk Management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Maintain up-to-date records of agreements and other relevant documents.
Monitor and enforce safety and health regulations.
Communication
Facilitate regular communication to employees, including updates on company policies, project requirements, and industry standards.
Organize and conduct meetings to keep employees informed and engaged.
HR Administration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in HR systems.
Generate reports and analyze data related to employee performance, compliance, and satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferable within the construction industry.
Knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
