  • Provide case management within the assigned location as it relates to reasonable accommodation needs.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Serve as an advisor and administrator of reasonable accommodation programs.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholders (e.g., HR, people managers) and determine eligibility for various accommodation types and communicate to employees on needed information.
  • Provide case management for religious and medical accommodation requests within the US location; including evaluating requests for accommodations in accordance with disability laws and company policies, review and maintain required documentation, collaborate with stakeholders to determine appropriate accommodations, and provide recommendations on appropriate outcomes.
  • Oversee and refine the integration of accommodations process and act as a liaison with relevant stakeholders (e.g., employee, manager, enterprise risk management, WFA, HRBL, Corp Services, Employee Relations and Legal)
  • Collaborate with Leave of Absence (LOA) team (WFA) if the accommodation request is related to leave.
  • Work with the Risk Management team on workers’ compensation requests that involve accommodations.
  • Advise managers and employees on work coordination and accommodations.
  • Actively search in Edwards open positions to try to accommodate the employees with restrictions.
  • Develop reporting metrics (e.g., trending) and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices
  • Develop overall continuous improvement processes.
  • Effectively utilize human resource technology, resource material, websites, and software to provide effective information on processes.
  • Proactively stay up to date on trends and developments within HR systems and technology, proactively providing ideas and information to leaders regarding best practices and trends.

What You’ll Need (Required)

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

What else we look for (Preferred)

  • Two plus years of previous related experience in reasonable accommodations and/or worker's compensation programs
  • Experience with an ERP system (ServiceNow and Workday preferred)
  • Experience and understanding of HR enabling technologies (e.g., case management, employee and manager self-service) and how they work within a customer service business environment (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Moderate knowledge and understanding of HR policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to reasonable accommodations and/or worker's compensation programs
  • Moderate knowledge of federal or state leave and disability regulations, specifically ADA/ADAAA, FMLA, California Pregnancy Disability Leave, CFRA, Paid Family Leave, and Intermittent Leave
  • Ability to operate effectively and proactively in a customer service environment with a customer focus and employee experience mindset
  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the organization on specific projects
