Tenneco is looking HR Training Coordinator for our Athens, AL Manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing personnel training and staff development programs for organization by performing the following duties to support the plant operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assistance and support to the HR Department
  • Maintain employee files and HR filing system.
  • Manage badging and PPE for employees, vendors and contractors.
  • Assist with new employee orientation preparations.
  • Assist with travel arrangements, meetings, and luncheons.
  • Assist with reporting to include headcount, attendance reports, affirmative action, and employee lists.
  • Assist with coordination of employee events.
  • Assist with data entry and presentations.
  • Provide assistance with employee relations.
  • Prepare company communications and maintain plant bulletin boards.
  • Administer shoe and safety glass program.
  • Administer new employee systems coordination.
  • Provide customer service in person, by telephone, and by email.
  • Respond to employment verifications.
  • Provide a wide variety of clerical, technical, administrative and office support duties.
  • Assist the positive employee relations program by preparing and mailing birthday and get well cards, posting notices and ordering flowers for bereavements and assisting with family fun day and holiday lunches.

  • Maintains training database and all associated training records.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of line-specific training checklists, training matrixes, and supporting documentation in conjunction with supervisors.
  • Compiles data and analyzes past and current year training requirements to assist in the preparation of budgets.
  • Ensures that all employees receive OSHA and Environmental personnel training to meet applicable regulatory requirements (OSHA HAZCOM, Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, etc.).
  • Ensures all documentation, tasks and training needs are met.
  • Screens, tests, counsels, and recommends employees for participation in internal or external educational and training programs.
  • Assists the Human Resources Manager with the compliance of all employees with the following: training policies, programs, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems or changes in products, procedures or services.
  • Coordinates established training courses with technical and professional courses offered by community schools and other outside sources.

EDUCATION: Associates Degree preferred.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, automotive experience is a plus.
  • Experience creating and developing training plans for hourly and salaried employees preferred.
  • Computer software proficiency required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational and planning skills.

  • Interpersonal skills.
