Human Resources Assistant

Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the HR department.
  • Reporting Tools and HRIS: Keep abreast of the reporting tools and functionalities within all performance/HRIS systems.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Referral of Complex Questions: Refer more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • File Integrity and Confidentiality: Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • File Audits: Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • New Hire Orientation: Assist with the new hire orientation process.
  • Special Event Assistance: Assist with the planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Scheduling: Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the HR manager.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Trustworthiness: Must demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Software: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Commute/Relocation: Ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
