ITCON Services is seeking an HR Assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties.

This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week on-site based at ITCON Services headquarters in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

HR Assistant skills we're looking for include excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail along with strong communication skills. To be an ideal candidate for the human resources assistant position, you should also hold an HR-related degree and have some basic experience of working in an office environment. You should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure whilst maintaining confidentiality. Following our training sessions, you'll be able to assist the HR team in the whole hiring lifecycle (e.g. assisting with onboarding new hires, handling terminations, offboarding, processing all HR forms, documents, prioritizing daily tasks etc.)

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources team including management
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)
  • Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
  • Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
  • Assist in setting up and conducting initial orientation to newly hired employees

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
