Lakeshore talent is partnering with a reputable manufacturing company out of Thornton, CO in their search of a Director of HR. This is a direct hire opportunity paying $120,000 - $168,000 annually with bonus potential.

Job Overview:

The HR Director is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This includes succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation. The HR Director provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders, and the board of directors.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.

Talent Management

  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
  • Manage succession planning and talent management initiatives.

Performance Management

  • Implement and manage a performance management system that drives high performance.
  • Ensure all performance issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Compliance and Policy Development

  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation.

Employee Relations

  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.

HR Metrics and Analytics

  • Utilize HR metrics to provide insights and develop strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports on HR metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management
  • Proven working experience as HR Director.
  • Strong knowledge of labor legislation.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification; preferred
  • Experience with HR metrics and analytics.
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus.
