Provide leadership and support in functional area of human resources including recruitment, employment, personnel records, employee relations, employee development, training, AAP/EEO and special projects. Serves as a strategic and tactical business partner to the Plant Manager and his leadership team. Specific responsibilities are as follows:
Able to drive continuous improvement in HR area and participate with plant staff in other continuous improvement projects
HR Generalist responsibilities including compliance with regulatory agencies (i.e., EEOC, DOL, OFCCP, etc.)
Liaison with Regional and Corporate Human Resources leadership
Manages employee relations issues consistent with employee policy
Source, screen and recommend candidates for employment and conduct new employee orientation for both hourly and salaried requisitions. Process will include scheduling drug & background screens. Ensures proper staffing is maintained at all times and pro-active activities are contemplated in order to achieve desired results.
Ensures compliance with the spirit and intent of regulations outlined in our AAP plan, responsible for implementation locally
Responsible for employee appraisal process
Develops and imparts new hire orientation training programs, develops, and imparts job specific training programs working with IE’s and Ops
Ensures compliance with various training initiatives as required by the site and corporate initiatives
Maintain training records for all employees in the plant
Develops and executes local procedures for security areas
Develop and execute employee morale enhancement activities
Manage local workers compensation program
Counsels employees and members of management on various aspects of policies and programs
Responsible for all leaves (investigation and follow-up with, STD, W/C and FMLA)

Position Requirements
A minimum of 5- 10 years of progressive HR experience
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal communications; must be able to build relationships and partnerships
High ethical standards, discretion, integrity, objectivity, and confidence
Highly motivated self-starter: ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet challenging targets on a stand-alone basis
Strong knowledge and experience in federal and state employment laws and regulations including FSLA, NLRB, EEO, FMLA, ADA, and OSHA
High level of competence with MS Office applications
