Responsibilities
HUMAN RESOURCES
Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll. Respond to employees with payroll related questions
Manage company's benefits plans including 401(k); administer enrollments/changes, maintenance and billing
Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality
Manage onboarding employees, orientation and introduction of new employees
Manage offboarding employees, termination letters and exit interviews
Provide guidance to employees and advise managers and employees on employee relations issues and situations, including application of the firm's policies
Stay aware of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable HR practices
Prepare and delivery performance review documents in conjunction with managers
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
Performs other duties as assigned by the President
RECRUITING
Manage full life cycle recruiting process to meet staffing goals
Source candidates via social networking and recruiting sites such as: LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Indeed, Monster, Glassdoor, Zip Recruiter, Networking, internal and external referrals
Maintain integrity of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Manage the interview and selection process
Manage pre-employment process to include reference checking and offer letters
Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree required
Proven work experience as HR Manager or other HR professional
Knowledge of HR systems and databases
Excellent communicaton, listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
Strong computer knowledge including MS Office Suite and Internet/Job Board knowledge
Ability to work with all levels of staff and management
2+ years' experience in recruiting
2+ years' experience payroll process
