Human Resources Specialist (Hybrid Role) - Remote

We are seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our team at InflexionPoint. As the Human Resources Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing various administrative aspects of our HR function. This includes benefits administration, payroll processing, creating offer letters, and maintaining accurate HRIS records. You will also coordinate exit interviews, assist with compensation administration, and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws.

This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and offers a full-time, salaried, exempt opportunity.

Responsibilities

Payroll:

Manage bi-weekly payroll processing using Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Maintain employee demographic and payroll records, including PTO usage and 401K contributions.

Collaborate with the operations team to verify and balance payroll results.

Calculate adjustments for back pay and pro-rate pay for new hires and terminations.

HR Administration

Establish and maintain electronic employee files in Paylocity, ensuring data accuracy.

Coordinate exit interviews and provide insights based on collected data.

Support HR programs such as employee engagement surveys and performance reviews.

Address employee inquiries and provide guidance on workplace-related issues.

Generate ad hoc reports and analyze HR metrics as needed.

Prepare and submit the annual EEO-1 report and assist with Workers' Comp claims.

Benefits Administration

Process new hire benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and support Open Enrollment activities.

Verify benefit carrier invoices for accuracy on a monthly basis.

Onboarding And Immigration

Prepare offer letters and facilitate pre-employment screenings.

Guide new employees through the onboarding process to ensure a welcoming experience.

Manage work visa and PERM immigration processes, coordinating with immigration attorneys as necessary.

Monitor onboarding tasks in Paylocity to ensure completion of required documents.

Skills And Qualifications

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas).

Experience with collaboration tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint.

Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Paylocity.

Knowledge of benefit portal administration.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Education And Experience

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in payroll.

Working Environment

This role is primarily based at our Neptune, NJ headquarters with the flexibility for occasional remote work as appropriate.

Physical Demands

Candidates must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods and operate standard office equipment.
