Job Summary

  • Position Title: Security Architect II-US
  • Work Location: 90% remote, 10% in Syracuse, NY for meetings and collaboration.
  • Must be local to NY, NJ

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, architectural oversight, and life cycle engineering for the National Grid Global Network infrastructure.
  • Maintain the integrity of the infrastructure, including data, voice, and security components.
  • Design, implement, and support solutions involving WAN, LAN, WLAN, Data Analytics, Security, and Virtual Data Center technologies.
  • Collaborate with various teams for project management, technical training, and customer support.
  • Act as a technical SME for network architecture, providing solutions, pricing assistance, and technical presentations.
  • Stay updated with relevant changes in technology and contribute to long-range planning for growth and optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • CCIE Data Center certification.
  • Ten or more years of relevant work experience, with expertise in network architecture.
  • Experience in implementing various network technologies, such as MPLS, VoIP, VPN, LAN, WAN, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in sales or service of Fortune 500 companies.
  • Successful project delivery in a Fortune 100 company.
  • Analytical skills to isolate and resolve complex issues.
  • Preferred Certifications:
  • Expert level certifications such as Cisco CCIE Data Center, TOGAF, or ITIL.
